How screening questions work, and what the employer sees

Last updated: 2 November 2026

What happens to your answers

  • The employer chose the questions and, for some, a preferred answer. EaglesEntry only compares your answer with theirs, by a fixed rule, not by AI.
  • If an answer differs from a preferred one, the employer sees a neutral note: which question, your answer, their preference. No colour, no score, no sort order.
  • Questions that may not be asked (criminal history, pay history, age, health, family, citizenship beyond work authorization, your school, your ZIP code and more) are blocked before the job goes live.
  • A person at the employer decides. Only a signed-in recruiter can change your status, and a rejection must carry a stated reason.

What you can do

Before you answer, you can ask the employer for an accommodation (more time, another format, a person instead of a form). After, you can ask a person to review a decision, ask how a note was reached, or correct a fact. Use “Request a human review or an accommodation” on the job page; requests are logged and answered in the app.
